Sharks - Free Sample

VOLUME 3 Sharks – Imagine what a predator the shark would be if he walked on land! During the hours of darkness, it sees twice as well as a cat and ten times better than humans. It can precisely locate the sound of prey hundreds of meters away. A shark's snout is far superior compared to any blood-hound. Not even a well camouflaged victim would stand a chance as it can feel the electrical "aura". The superior senses that evolution bestowed upon the shark for its life journey is stunning. The experiment started 400 million years ago; at a time, when lower plants such as ferns and horsetail reluctantly populated the land masses. Dinosaurs came 200 million years later and were subsequently phased out during the course of evolution. Sharks asserted themselves and evolved over eons of time, however, up to the point where the test phase was concluded 65 million years ago: Since then, most of today's shark species swim nearly unchanged through-out the world's oceans. It seems that the nearly 470 different models are "high end", perfectly adapted to the specific ecological habitats. 9 SHARKS
